Sparks Talks
The 2019-2020 season is the second year that the Sparks are running Sparks Talks. The team invites alumnae from their school to come back and share their experiences of working in STEM fields. SparksTalks are open to all students, faculty, and staff, however, they are geared toward high school students who are in the process of deciding college majors and potential careers.
Through the SparksTalks, students can learn about careers that they might be interested in while also creating connections with professionals in those fields. SparksTalks are held during the school's community time, which is a daily period that all students and faculty are free. After a SparksTalk is scheduled, it is added to the community time calendar and the team advertises it through posters and a school wide email announcement. This year, the Sparks have hosted two SparksTaks and have two more planned for the spring.
