The Sparks' robot has four Mecanum wheels. This was the first year that the building team used Mecanum wheels on their robot.  In previous years, the team used Omni wheels.  They chose to switch to Mecanum wheels because of their ability to move the robot diagonally.  This provides more mobility on the game field and allows the robot to reach its destination faster.
