Glyph Gripper

The idea for the grabber came along when the team was having trouble with the plate when trying to pick up glyphs. The team saw that having something that could more easily control the glyphs would be imperative if they wanted more points in the following competitions.

The apparatus is connected to the linear slide and can pick up two cubes at a time by grasping them on the sides. It is made of two tetrix pieces for the arms that are large enough to pick up two cubes. These plates are connected to servos that are connected to another tetrix plate, which is connected to the linear slide. The plates that will grip the block have pads of styrofoam on them to prevent the blocks from slipping.

This design can be easily switched out with the block plate , if necessary.
